I taught myself to sharpen in 2020 on a Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition MK1, then turned it into Seriously Fast Sharpening here in Austin in 2022. What started as one guy with a few stones has grown into 4.8★ · 144 Google reviews, one blade at a time.
Along the way I got hands-on with the machines themselves, designing and producing riser systems for both the MK1 and MK2 to get more consistent angles out of them.
Once I had a system that actually worked, I built the Sharpening Accelerator to teach it to other operators from scratch. 15+ people now run their own sharpening businesses using it.
These days I split my time between sharpening for my own customers, coaching Accelerator operators one on one, and building the tools and supplies other sharpeners need to do the same.
