Why is chisel sharpening priced by quote?
Chisels vary widely in size, steel type, bevel angle, and condition. A set of beat-up masonry chisels requires a completely different process than a set of Japanese bench chisels. Rather than a flat per-chisel rate that ends up being unfair in either direction, we quote based on what the job actually involves — so you get a fair price and the right level of care.

How do I drop them off?
Porch drop-off is available 24/7 at our North Austin location using the drop-box. Or schedule a porch pickup and we'll come to you.
How long does it take?
Most chisel orders are turned around in 24–48 hours. Complex restoration work (heavy re-profiling, tip repair) may take a bit longer — we'll let you know upfront.
Do you sharpen carving tools and gouges?
Yes, gouges and carving tools are included in the quote process. Just mention them when you text.
