Why It Matters
Sharp tools do more than cut better.
Healthier Plants
Clean cuts heal faster than torn or crushed tissue. Sharp pruners reduce disease risk and promote healthy growth.
Easier Work
Sharp tools require less force, reducing fatigue. What used to be a chore becomes much more manageable.
Better Lawn
Dull mower blades tear grass, leaving brown tips and inviting disease. Sharp blades cut cleanly for a greener lawn.

FAQ
Common questions.
How often should I sharpen my lawn mower blade?
At minimum, sharpen at the start of each mowing season. For large yards or commercial use, every 20–25 hours of mowing. A dull blade tears grass, leaving brown tips and making your lawn susceptible to disease.
Do I need to remove my mower blade?
Yes, please remove the blade before bringing it in. If you're not comfortable doing this, text me and I can advise, or schedule porch pickup where I handle everything.
Can you sharpen electric hedge trimmer blades?
I sharpen manual hedge shears, not powered hedge trimmer blades. Electric/gas trimmer blades require specialized equipment. Happy to point you in the right direction.
Will sharpening help my loppers cut better?
Absolutely. Dull loppers crush branches instead of cutting cleanly, which damages plants and makes the work harder. Sharp loppers glide through with minimal effort.
How should I prepare garden tools?
Clean off dirt and sap as much as possible. Don't worry about rust — I handle that during sharpening.
Do you balance mower blades after sharpening?
Yes. Blade balance is checked after every mower blade sharpening. An unbalanced blade causes vibration that damages your mower's engine and spindle bearings.
